So, I finally get the opportunity to write about the past week, now that I'm somewhat sober.  Granted, I haven't been drinking the whole week, but the days after have been used to recover bbefore I went drinking again.  I drank on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, which is the most I've drank in a week, even if I were usually going out!  Anyway, I eventually made it to Castle Palooza with a friend of mine, albeit late and pretty much ready to work.  We had some food before we started though once again I always seem to miss the chipper that was closer to us.  It's become a fixture each time I go to Tullamore, but I guess it's still something to smile at,  Anyway, the event itself went good, finally found out what happened at Castle Palooza 2007, regarding that lad nearly beating the shit out of me.  Suffice to say that he didn't have a knife on him, as it was confiscated which was lucky for me; he used it on the head of security's tent though, which is why it got confiscated.  Of course, by the end of the event, quite a few people on site tend to know my name, which I give to appear more personable, instead of "that security bloke".

Other than that however, there isn't a lot to say about the event. After the event got more interesting though.  There's a volunteer party that happens the following Monday after the weekend of Castle Palooza, where all the volunteers and staff get taken out to an Indian/Thai restaurant as a thank you for helping out, then we go down to the pub for some alcohol.  Before all that though, my friend and I had to get some clean clothes, which was a mission!  We got the stuff, and got changed, but I got the wrong size jeans and the belt was too big for me. *sigh*  Even worse was that we got lost and ended up  in a place called Clonming... I mean Clonminch.  Whenever I see that name, I always think something different, yes I'm awful.  We made it in the end, though between the new shoes I was breaking-in and the fact I was on my feet for the past couple of days at that point.  We did make it in the end though, and had a good time.  My friend showed the videos of his "mischief", which were a big hit with those that saw them.  And yes, I was his accomplice for a few of them :P

After that, we went to a pub, then got drunk and continued the party at the castle.  My friend and I retired early, due to issues that I cannot reveal in this entry, as it's too public.  One interesting thing I will mention though is that I lost my crystal after an investigation I did in Essex, and despite looking everywhere, I could not find it.  But when moving from my tend to the volunteer bedroom in the castle, I found the crystal with its bag.  I knew it was mne because of the bag colour, and also it was missing the ring bit at the top.  I was rather surprised it happened, but I took this to mean that I'm supposed to carry a crystal with me.  Either way, it was an interesting weekend that went on.  The rest of the week consisted of drinking and resting.  I ended up meeting another wolf (therian) on UKCB while I was chatting.  It's funny how I sense other therians, to be honest; I've sensed at least 11 to date and introduced them to my website, therians.net.  Anyhow, there's not a huge amount to write in this entry, so I'll close it by saying that on Sunday I'll be sorting out a few things here, then on Monday I'm heading back home and sorting more stuff out.  Eventually, I'll be in Holland too so I need to arrange that trip.  So much to do, and so little time!

So yeah, it's been 12 days since I posted here, and surprisingly, all things considered, not a hell of a lot has happened, but a fair bit has, if that makes sense at all.  Anyway, I had so much fun getting a ticket, I ended up departing at 08:30 Friday (the 3rd) and arriving at about 18:00 in Dublin, where I went to Tallaght, and got picked up from outside The Square and had a chat with him along the way.  Was supposed to go out with him for some beers, but as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light!  The following morning, I woke up at 830am, watched some TV, decided to go back to bed, then woke up at 11:30, and departed at 12:00, getting a lift from my mum's boyfriend to Tullamore town centre.  I made my way to the station, then got a taxi the rest of the way, seeing as I expected I'd have to work the second I got there.  After I got there, I got stiopped by the security people, where I said hi to Mark, the head security dude and got let in, where I then went to the kitchen to make it known that I had arrived, where I got to meet Megan for the first time, and she gave me a hug, although she didn't floor me like she said she would, although considering many people were in the kitchen, that would be awkward... one thing I forgot to mention is that I was informed by Colom that I was late for my shift, although it was a 10pm-4am shift!  He was just messing with me though, so it's all good.

And that's pretty much happened between the entry ahead of this one, and the one before it where this'll go in between.  Can't remember what else, but I figure it's enough now, isn't it?

Well, I've not really accomplished much, heh.  BIT Live 2007 has come and gone.  I got to meet a few people I haven't seen in a couple of years, and managed to pick up email addresses and phone numbers of fellow sceners, remixers and composers.  I had a really good night though, despite lack of funding.  I had 17 quid worth of coins, and that weekend drained me of most of them, as I needed the money to buy a travel card (1-4) and an extension, as well as food the same day I was seeing my guest/mate off.  I have enough money to do laundry, although I am still a bit irked over having to buy a 1-4 travelcard considering I had Oyster.  What's the point in spending money topping up an Oyster card when I still need to rely on travelcards?  Ergh, it's all fucked up.  Anyway, I got 3 free CDs that night as well, which was good... two of them were given free with entry to the Spitz, and one I got because I asked about what would happen to the CDs... as I would have bought one later, but the guy who did them gave me one for free, so again thanks to him.  I also got a CD-ROM to do with the event as well.  All in all, was a good day.  That pretty much sums up Friday, Saturday and Sunday... well, if you count the fact I've done nothing since getting back homer except chatting, DJing and listening to music/the radio.

I did have a chat with the bus driver on the way back home, and she told me the bus fare was going up to £1.50 on Oyster, and £3.00 on cash in September!  Although it was said in somewhat of a hushed tone, although at the end of the day, sooner or later it'd be found out.  Surely I'm not the only one who knows this?  But yeah, there's a renewed urgency for me to sort my finances out.  First thing's first, I'm gonna avail of the uni bus more often.  Secondly, I'm going to only use NR stations in emergencies and where I need to be somewhere fast, which is almost the same thing, but not quite!  Also, I'm going to use that coin sorter and start saving pennies in my bank account, as well as  recovering my tuition fees from UEL and accommodation fees, as well as depositing half of it into my savings account, with the other half as a cushion for my current account, as yet again I get to experience the joys of a bank charge... which reminds me, I need to also recover my bank charges, and prolly move the money out of the NS&I account that I have to support my current account.  I also need to look at organising my shopping list, and most importantly, knuckle down for uni!

I also need to get a job, or I'm going to be in trouble, because if I fail this year again, I won't be able to do uni after... worrying prospect, but I have time to get myself sorted, and that I will... or I hope I will. :|

Seriously though, now I'm settled round here, it should be a lot easier to get stuck in, and I can start and finish stuff sooner, given I know what's coming.  Coincidentally, I need to chat with my classmate to see if he's repeating the year.  Doesn't matter if he is or isn't because at the end of the day, I have to remember, I'm doing this for me, and no one else... although if I get through these 3 years, I do get the chance to stick it to my (ex) stepdad, and perhaps Chris as well, though Chris doesn't matter so much.  I'm not out to prove anything to anyone... it's just a bonus that I get to have one over on people who tried to bring me down.  And at the end of the day, all this will be worth it... no maybes, hopes, nor nots.  Just wills.

I coincidentally start counselling on Tuesday, so it'll be interesting to see how that goes.   Coincidentally, I promised I'd show Virginia my LJ.  I figured it can't hurt really... what I don't want people not in my friends list to know or no one at all in fact is marked accordingly, so yeah.  Anyway, been a month into the holidays, and things are starting to pan out.  I'm gonna go to Ireland in late July... till the 9th of August.  I think I'm booking for the 26th of July, but not 100% certain.  2 weeks in the summer this time, I do think that's enough.  Then perhaps later on I can go to Holland.  Need to sort out a flight to Jordan as well... although I need to get dates first, plus my camera needs replacing.  Just had a look at flights and the cheapest flight is over £350 in November!  I'd better get some proper dates sorted so i can work on sorting some cheaper flights!

Either way though, I need to start organsing my camera, as well as UEL and also I need to go to the post office.  Shopping will have to wait till I can afford it, but at least I have laundry money (for next week) and food to last me, although milk may be an issue. >.>

You guys must have thought I have ran off or something, lol

But no, I'm alive and (somewhat) well.  Just had to deal with a debt collection agency a few minutes ago, because a payment I made on my card never went through, go figure.  Anyway, it's all done now and I no longer have to worry, which is good.  Either way, I wished the book company accepted Solo (figures the debt collectors do!) - I could have paid it off ages ago, and without it being full price!  Anyway, I'm back home from the investigation over the weeend, and at present, I can't remember anything between my last... oh, it's coming back to me now, go figure.  Okay, what happened between those "missing days" was pretty much working on that report, which I did right before I was due to go, or rather I did it right up till 4am, slept in till 07:00 (about when I was due to leave!), then scrambled to get ready to go... luckily enough, after all that, I managed to get in only 20 minutes (1h 40m) shy of the 2 hour requirement, which wasn't bad!

Anyway, after that it was pretty much plain sailing, save for the fact I had to wait for a bus in the cold, and have a bus driver make me feel a little stupid (wanker!), called up my friend as well, he was happy to hear from me.  Got into Naas fairly late, met up with my mum and sister, after which we went to the Capri, then off to Superquinn (which reminds me, I'll need to buy some food tomorrow - too tired today) and then off to a place to find a wireless network card.  The shop I initially went to didn't seem to have them, so I went to the place across the road, which was closed for a few minutes break.  I met the principal of my old primary school, and had a quick chat with her, she's retired now which came as a bit of a surprise.  Seems that times are a-changing indeed!  Anyway, my mum told me they had a network card, which I bought... nearly forgot to bring it with me as well, till the chap at the counter said something!  At this point, I headed home, along the new bridge built, which is quite nifty, I have to say.  The place has really changed a fair bit!  My sister was convinced she'd have made it for the 17:45 bus, when it was 17:20, but both my mum and I said she wouldn't.  And you know what?  We were right!  Takes half an hour to get to town, and with all the getting ready... well, you get the idea.

Anyway, cue various actions including sisters getting ready, doting over two kittens, resting and other fun things.  Anyway, after my two darling little siters were gone, I pretty much chilled and stuff, before having an early night, though the idea was to take a nap for an hour, so I could do some PDP uploads, which I have yet to do... I must have been knackered though!  Got up at 07:00, and set up the wireless, but due to lack of mouse, it was hard to get stuff done, but I did do it.  Mostly stuck with the lappy, mind... which I'll eventually be getting one of myself.  Anyway, fast forward, and I got so fed up with the Eircom router being so crap, I went to PC World with mum and got a new one, because it was better.  Anyhow, it took me 45 minutes to get the password to connect to the internet (which I later found online), seeing as the guy wasn't Irish or English... it was crazy.  I just wanted the password to get on, and he goes on about the router!  The router was fine.  Admittedly, I finally connected the router to the internet, but then the laptop wouldn't connect... there was an issue on the router itself, but it's fixed now, so it's all good.  Anyway, this was all after the investigation I went on, photos of which will be up soon.  I picked up on a few things as well, which was cool.

Anyway, fast forwarding through everything, I had to rush to the bus stop to catch my bus.  I couldn't get the airport one, so had to get the normal one, with a change at O'Connell Street.  Managed to make it in on time too, which was grand.  Anyway, I joined the wrong queue, so had to go to the back of the other one, because yu now have to pay for priority access.  I remember reading about how Michael O'Leary views himself as Roblin Hood, though a politician considered him to be more like Al Capone.  I dunno which one to agree with, really.  I mean, in fairness, he did bring low fare airlines to the masses, but at the same time, he's charging us an arm and a leg for it, as well as giving people as little money as poss, as well as hiring foreigners coz they'll work for peanuts.  That's just scrping the surface.  Unfortunately though, I can't afford anyone else.

But enough of that mini-rant.  Fast forward to getting back into London, as really, there was nothing out of the ordinary getting back to there, even the bus from Stratford to Lewisham (108) was uneventful, or relatively so, was talking to a guy who works for the Underground.  Anyway, after waiting a while for the N21 to come along I hopped on and began the relatively short trek home.... only it wasn't working like that (does it ever?)!  I pretty much blinked and missed my stop, meaning I had to walk over a mile back to my flat, yay.  I got back in the end, but not without learning that Blackfen is in Kent first, though I wish I could do it at a more leisurely pace, but ah well.  I eventually got home though, but not without feeling knackered, and that was the same time I got the debt collector's letter, which is sorted now.

Which brings me right up to now, of which I've done nothing at all, never went into class today either!  I'm resting my poor legs, in the hope I can make it in tomorrow, though it figures that I missed my CCS stuf, but oh well, I'll catch up over the next while, as let's face it, March comes soon.  Either way, I need to rest up, knuckle down and organise everything!

And that's pretty much that.  Oh yeah, the report got put in, with 5 minutes to spare, had 50 pages in the report, compared to the rest, who had about 1/3 or 1/4 of that!  At least we showed that we put some work in, despite our team going from 6 to 4!  Either way, I hope we pass, as the less I have to resit, the better.

Edit: I almost forgot, a friend of mine texted me to say she was in Blackheath, though I got the text some 12 hours later, which made me have a "dammit!" moment in the car.  Interestingly enough, she's been thinking about studying at Greenwich, as she's asked me about what it's like there.  She's looking at doing Forensic Science (my mum and I think it's cool), which she mentioned in an earlier text.  She'll be writing to me as well, seeing as she can't get online so much these days, so I need to start remembering how to write letters, and if she's reading this, be it now or at some point... now you know that my letter writing skills are crap, but I'll give it a shot all the same.

Lastly, I forgot to mention I'm able to hear ultrasonic sounds, as I heard my mum's bug repellant thingy which was interesting.  Apparantly though, Aspies can hear into ultrasonic sound ranges, so I'm not very surprised...

As I write this, I'm currently on a train bound for London from Doncaster. Wireless internet allows me to do this, though it sadly won't allow me access to MSN, but you can't have everything can you? Anyway, the investigation went pretty well, even if it was fairly quiet. I still had a great time, plus got to meet two more people who I knew from the net, which was nice. They're both lovely people and I was glad to have finally met them.

I'm gonna stop here for now posting wise because it's a bit awkward typing on a PDA.. could really do with a laptop but maybe someday. For now though, this is fine.

I need to bring some chewing gum or brushaways with me in future short trips because I have to wait till I get home now to brush my teeth :/

What Your Soul Really Looks Like

You are very passionate and quite temperamental. While you can be moody, you always crave comfort.

You are a grounded person, but you also leave room for imagination and dreams. You feet may be on the ground, but you're head is in the clouds.

You believe that people see you as larger than life and important. While this is true, they also think you're a bit full of yourself.

Your near future is still unknown, and a little scary. You'll get through wild times - and you'll textually enjoy it.

For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust.

Pretty accurate, methinks, albeit not 100%.

So anyway, I'm back online, with a new power supply. We'll see how long this one lasts now, shall we? Anyway, off to Bradford tomorrow for an investigation, and I seem to be coming down with something at the moment, which sucks balls. Other than that, nothing to really say, other than that I was gonna go to the Greenwich & Docklands International Festival, but the place was up to capacity, sadly. I'll be going to the Sunday event though when I get back from Bradford. Oh yes, I met that girl for a second and last time in Stratford today... it was entirely coincidental that my dictaphone happened to arrive the same day... kinda handy, but there ya go!

Anyway, that's really it for now. I won't be posting again till Sunday evening now, seeing as I've gotta be up mega early for my gym induction (yes, I'm doing it for definate!), though I hope I can afford the 15 quid for the gym membership now. After the induction, I have 2 hours to make it to Barking Station... at least I have the time to get changed, have a shower and pick up my bags before I go. Nice little arrangement actually. Only about an hour and a half to Dorchester (and not Doncaster!), which surprises me actually, seeing as it takes about an hour (or so) to go to Cambridge which is much closer! Oh well, no use in complaining. Good chance for a nap, and to see some scenery.

I'm going to get a lift to Braford from Doncaster if you were wondering. So ends your confusion. I seem to be coming down with something atm, or I'm picking up strong energy vibes atm from someone... I'll have to check it out, because it does get pretty disruptive...

Anyway, I'd better stop... it's getting hard to focus on typing a bit...
stormkeeper: Picture of a wolf (Default)
Seems like it's not as bad as I thought it would be; just the power supply is gone, so in theory, I could be back up this week, with luck. I'm not gonna be here most of this weekend however because I have an induction at the gym (yes, I finally started to join!) and after that, I'm heading out to Dorchester to investigate a haunted place (Sky must be jealous of me now!) in Bradford (getting a lift from Dorchester to Bradford). I'm still going ahead with the new PC idea though, as I have a graphics card that didn't work with my PC, plus I bought a new keyboard, plus I have to replace a lot of components anyway, so new is best.

I'm in the process of unpacking, though I need to start on some laundry today for I'll not have any other time to do it before the weekend. Either way things are starting to pick up, and I'm definately going to be taking advantage of the gym, now that I am taking postive steps towards things. Gym closes on the 28th of July, so after the 24th, I'm on pay as you go, and after that point, I'll be working in my fitness regeime that my friend Eldon gave me. Hopefully by that point, I'll be fitter overall, and shall be able to tone myself up, and make myself fit enough for the Specials... or if I don't get in this time, I'll make myself fitter overall and try again later.

Lastly, I may or may not be getting a summer job, which would involve me travelling around the country which is pretty cool if I do get it. I have to wait and see though...
stormkeeper: Picture of a wolf (Default)
Okay, perhaps I have been online more than I thought I'd be, but I'm still not really online... I ran out of credit today, which is fun, so I have to buy more. Investigation is today, so it's a bit of a mad rush to sort things out... I'm not going to be staying till Monday because I have stuff to sort out here, before I go back. And that is that, they say. If you want to know about the investigation, I'll post up a report on the IP site sometime soon.

Watch this space.

The True You

You want your girlfriend or boyfriend to be more relaxed, calm, and composed.
With respect to money, you are a bit stingy.
You think good luck depends on maintaining good relationships with others.
The hidden side of your personality tends to be a little selfish. You only do what interests you.
You are tend to think about others' feelings a lot, perhaps because you are so eager to be liked.
When it comes to finding a romantic partner, you base your search on information from your friends.

In case you weren't sure, I'm baack! ;P

Anyway, I'll make a proper udate of my escapades after a I get a bit of kip... 7 hour train journeys exhaust me.
stormkeeper: Picture of a wolf (Default)
In a little bit over 4 hours, I need to be up and ready to head out to catch a train to Wales... This'll be so much fun... Though 4 days away from a PC may be a bit much. Heh, I might bring my DS to occupy me, and maybe a book or two as well...

Anyway, see you all on Monday!
